Towards the end of October we had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Adam and Tim at their wedding at The Tudor Barn, Belstead. This was such a beautiful day with so many lovely finishing touches that we knew we were going to have a wonderful time.
We started this day with something a little unusual and something that I can’t rate highly enough. We joined Adam and Tim a couple of hours before their ceremony time so that we could do all their couple photos before their guests arrived and so that they would have more relaxing and mingling time with their guests during the reception. We cannot express how lovely this was to do all their photos first and to be able to use all areas without trying to dodge guests and cars (I wanted to take some up near the car park as the trees were beautiful autumnal colours) in the background. It also was a great way to start the day as they knew they had some wonderful photos of just the two of them from the start.
It was a mixed bag with the weather and pretty wet underfoot but, we still managed to use all the wonderful grounds. The barn looked beautiful, with floristry done by the amazingly talented Kaye at Kaye Souter Flowers and as for the food, this was exceptional and so scrummy (the first time we’ve had Paul Thomson’s food and it was wonderful so I hope it won’t be the last). We also got to work alongside a lovely lady called Claire who was front of house at The Tudor Barn and she was brilliant! We are very lucky to work with so many talented people.
The ceremony was indoors and we had two beautiful readings including a Whitney Hanson poem that always makes me cry, thankfully there were a lot of tears so hopefully mine went unnoticed! As Tudor Barn have an excellent undercover area outside we could stay outdoors despite the rain which is really special.
Both Adam and Tim are such charismatic, happy people that it’s an absolute joy to be in their company, they are clearly adored by their friends and families and we really hope that our paths will cross with them again in the future.
Here’s just a very small peep at two fabulous people’s day:
