Continuing our reviews and little looks at venues our next one is The Essex Barn which is part of The White Hart in Great Yeldham but, exclusively yours.

In their own words:

‘One of the Best Wedding Venues in Essex

Our beautiful, exclusive-use wedding venue in Essex is set in four and a half acres of immaculate gardens and offers the space of a contemporary space combined with the character and charm of a traditional venue. Wooden beams, candelabras and exposed brick blend seamlessly with high ceilings and large doors that connect to the garden.

Say ‘I do’ on our elevated mezzanine floor or under the stars in a gorgeous garden ceremony. Then kick off the celebrations in the barn, with all of your favourite people in one room.

For a more intimate wedding, our Garden Room offers a private space for your special day to share with those closest to you.’

We were last here in May last year for Donna and Richard’s Fabulous day (link here just in case you’d like to have a peep) and thoroughly enjoy being at this venue. Donna and Richard kindly fed us at this day and the food was so scrumptious!

We’ve photographed at this venue for many years and in all weathers and it never fails to impress us. The staff are always welcoming and the grounds are beautiful and we are honoured to be one of their recommended suppliers!

This weekend (7th and 8th of February 2026) they are having Open Days (sadly we’re not attending these ones this time) and you can see their newly refurbished barn so it may be the perfect time for you to have a look.
