Firstly, apologies to those of you who read the blog regularly as this wedding I’m posting today isn’t the next wedding we photographed but one at the end of July instead. I’ve gone against how I’d usually post as I thought with Hungarian Hall’s fabulous Open Day coming up next Sunday (7th September) it would be good to show a recent wedding we’ve photographed at this fabulous venue.
So, here is Craig and Frances’ beautiful day. We both started with the getting ready in the new and awesome Apple Barn that is on site and is magnificent. Craig and Fran were hoping for an outdoor wedding ceremony and although the weather was overcast with rain predicted the decision was made to risk it and it paid off as once again we managed to avoid the rain which only came in later in the day once everyone was seated and eating.
The outdoor ceremony under the willow tree was beautiful and they ended with guests throwing confetti over them as they walked back up the aisle at the end. We were serenaded by the excellent Adam Thomas on his guitar (he was also the bestman) and during the afternoon reception time we had Jamie Lee Smith Catering doing all the incredible food (starting with scrumptious canapes, then an amazing meal and a pizza van in the evening). We did a few formal groups and some photos of just the two of them whilst the weather was still dry and we could go into the longer meadow grass.
Frances looked beautiful and beamingly smiled all day and Craig was every bit as smiley and dapper in his grey suit. Their boys also did really well and were in their formal group shots despite there being an epic bouncy castle and other games to lure them away!
A little mention should also go out to Lianne @Fantasy Cake Company for producing a cake that definitely wins awards for the most unusual one we’ve seen so far this year. Sadly, it wasn’t chopped up before we left so I didn’t get to sample this one but, I’m certain it will have tasted as good as it looked (see the photos below to look at what they had).
I should also mention Kaye at Kaye Souter Flowers who produced amazing floral creations as always (Kaye is brilliant at what she does).
In the evening Adam played their first dance sock and then Flame Entertainment brought the party and did the evening disco (they are always brilliant).
Here’s a little peep at this wonderful day x
