This post today is all about cake and it was always bound to make me feel hungry!

We see a huge range of cakes these days and it seems to be that we very rarely see a traditional white iced, 3 tier fruit cake. I think that’s a good thing though, I love fruit cake but I also love a nice sponge in all the flavours imaginable (I’ve yet to find a flavour I don’t like and am hoping that day never comes as it would be a sad day indeed!).

Here’s some of the beautiful and unique cakes (and other takes on the traditional cake such as macaroons) that we’ve seen – each cake I could tell you a story about but won’t as I realise this would then become a really long post.
