My last wedding of this year was Sarah and Mark’s day which took place at the stunning St Andrew’s Castle in Bury St Edmunds. This was the first time for me at this venue and it was lovely to capture their small and intimate day there (they only needed me as they were very small numbers).
I knew when I met Sarah and Mark back at The Suffolk Wedding Show at the beginning of the year that I would be honoured to capture their day for them so I was delighted when they chose me. When I get to capture the smaller and more intimate days it hits differently as it really does feel like you’re a part of the family. I know that often people don’t think you need a photographer at smaller weddings but, I still think it allows you and your guests to fully enjoy your day whilst making sure that those memories are captured for you.
There was so much to love about this day and these two are some of the nicest people you could hope to meet. The afternoon buffet went down so well with guests and everything was lovely and relaxed. We were also really lucky with the weather holding out for us in the afternoon and that the leaves had all changed to gorgeous autumnal colours which just look beautiful against the castle!
Sarah looked stunning in her off white dress and her flowers just added that little pop of colour and were really unusual. Mark looked equally handsome in his suit and had his Grandad’s ring as his wedding ring which is one of the most unusual rings I’ve seen.
I’m certain that these two are meant to be together and I hope that they’ll stay in touch with their future news.
Here’s a little peep at this really special day x
