Oh I do love to be beside the seaside, oh I do love to be beside the sea …. Sung in my best singing voice for you but, I especially love to capture weddings at the seaside and so it was a privilege to capture Holly and Harry’s day at the stunning Thorpeness Country Club.
I started with Holly getting ready in the Truman Lodge (next to the venue) for the getting ready and she’d bought her bridesmaids the most stunning seaside PJs (I now own a pair after finding out where she got them from and liking them so much!) so they were all matching and it was a lovely relaxing time of them all getting ready. Their hair and make up were expertly done by Valentina and Natalie (Cambridge Makeup Artist) David started with Harry and the boys getting ready over at the Golf Club before walking down to the Country Club.
The ceremony was then indoors followed by an indoor drinks reception as it was a little wet and blowy. We still managed to get outside for all the key bits though between the rain which was a treat!
The colour scheme for this day was perfect with the sea blues and coral pinks and Judy over at Tiger Lily Flowers did an epic job with the flowers (she always does wonderful work). The cake was also, so different, sea-sidey and I can’t believe that all the carefully crafted shells and sand were edible! It had to be seen to be believed and it smelt divine (it was made by Amy at Perfect Moment Cake Design)! The stationery was also beautiful and was designed by Paper and Inc and in the evening there was a gorgeous vintage ice cream van doing doughnut sliders!
Holly and Harry are a really happy, smiley couple and it was a pleasure to capture every moment of this day. Holly looked absolutely radiant in her dress and Harry was equally as handsome in his suit.
Thorpeness Country Club had changed staff since we were last here but they were fabulous and helped the day to run so smoothly, we can’t wait to be back here for lots more future weddings.
Here’s just a very small peep at their day x
