Still in June we captured the awesome Ellen and Harry’s day at the stupendous Bressingham Hall and High Barn. We love working at this venue and don’t get to be here as often as we’d like. This venue has so much going for it from the stunning gardens at all times of year to the beautiful barn and gallopers! Both Sam’s and Bibs at the venue are a treat to work alongside and always make sure the day runs smoothly.
Both Ellen and Harry got ready in the hall. I started with Ellen and her bridesmaids and bridesman whilst David started with Harry and his boys. Ellen’s dress was stunning but her veil was, I think, the most beautiful I have ever seen with gorgeous flowers embroidered all around the edge … it was exquisite and I couldn’t stop looking at it!
The ceremony was then an indoor one over in the barn which looked the most beautiful I have ever seen. The flowers were in rainbow tones (I love multicoloured weddings) and amazing (they were done by Wendy at Blush and Blooms florals) and the bride and her entourage had decorated all of the chairs with ribbons. The flowers were also dreamy and breathtaking!
We then had a sunny, outdoor drinks reception in the courtyard area with Owen (an artist) doing little portraits for the guests. Bressingham Gardens is important to the couple and Ellen particularly wanted to go to a part of the gardens called ‘Foggy Bottom’ so we did a little walk to them in the afternoon. They then had a BBQ meal followed by a trip over to the Gallopers (Or as I always have known them … the big horses!) with all their guests followed by Ice Cream and a little further wander in the gardens before back for cake cutting, dancing and a surprise Sax Player (Alex).
The cake will always have a special place in my heart as it had little Sylvanian Family Cake Toppers that were so cute and took me right back to my childhood – it was made by Poppy at The Hazlebury Kitchen!
We adored every minute of this day and with such a beautiful couple we didn’t want it to end. Here’s a little peep at their day
