The Wedding of Chris&Gem@Seckford Hall by Suffolk Wedding Photographer Hayley Denston Photography

At the beginning of September we photographed the gorgeous Chris and Gem at their wedding at Seckford Hall. This was an extra special day for us for so many reasons but, especially because it had been one we’ve been looking forward to for a long time (it’s been in the diary a couple of years) and we photographed Chris’ sisters wedding a few years ago too so we knew they’d be a brilliant bunch to work with.

We felt like friends of the family on this day and it was all lovely and relaxed. Chris and Gem have a daughter and I’m not sure I can recall the last time such a small child was so well behaved and smiley! There are a lot of photos of her, she was a little star and a credit to them both.

Gemma looked beautiful and Chris was every bit as handsome, these two just seem to go together perfectly and it’s clear to see that they are adored by all their friends and family.

It was also lovely to see all the changes at Seckford Hall since we were last here and to hear their plans for the future. This venue certainly has had a glow-up and it was a treat to have so many areas to use for photos.

The flowers were stunning and I adored the autumnal colours they used. The wedding breakfast room was beautifully decorated and the effort Chris and Gemma had put into the details was phenomenal.

In the evening we had Colin the Caterpillar cakes (not what was planned but, sadly the cake lady was involved in a car accident that day (I’m told she is ok) and so no cake was delivered) followed by dancing and some confetti cannons and it was great to see Gareth at Flame Entertainments providing the music as he’s excellent.
