Wow – what a difficult section to write this one is proving to be! It’s so much easier to express ourselves through photos than it is to write something (I guess that’s one of the reasons we’re photographers and not writers!). Trying to find something to say that is both original and different to what you’ll read elsewhere is almost impossible to do. We could say all the usual sorts of things such as:

‘We love photography’

‘This is our calling in life and what we were destined to do’

‘We love our job’

‘We love capturing the smallest of details’

‘We take beautiful photographs’

‘Our images are fresh and dynamic’

‘We’re great fun to work with’

‘We have an ability to capture expressions’

‘We have endless enthusiasm and excitement which we’ll share with you’

‘We love new ideas, different locations and meeting new people’

‘We have an eye for making the ordinary into extraordinary images’

‘We’ll produce images for you that you’ll treasure forever’

Of course all of the above is true but we’d much rather you look at our work and judge for yourselves whether our style is what you’re looking for.

We work mainly on recommendation (and believe that this is the utmost privilege) but are always happy to provide testimonials if you haven’t seen us work. In fact we are always overwhelmed and ecstatic by the positive comments we receive from people both on the day and after they’ve seen the images and so have decided to dedicate a whole section on this site to reviews. So far I have only had time to put on a small selection of the testimonials we received last year. We receive many ‘thank you’s’ from all aspects of our work and for everyone that’s sent us one we are truly grateful even if it hasn’t made it into the review section yet.

Further to the testimonials we are frequently asked at weddings we attend if we are friends or family of the happy couple.  This is always the biggest of compliments we can receive as our ability to build rapport quickly, blend in and make everyone feel relaxed obviously shows through.

We work in a relaxed and friendly manner enjoying photographing events as they unfold. We like to capture emotion in our photos so that you can really connect with your images after the event.

So, who are we and how do we work?

We are a happily married couple (yes that is us in the photo here taken on our hols last year and before you wonder this isn’t our usual attire when we photograph you although we can bring the cowboy hats with us if you’d like!) Put very simply, we enjoy working together and do it well.

I do most of the day-to-day work of running the business, working on your images, producing books and albums and all the other things that come with the territory of a photography business whilst David (my husband) photographs with me on wedding days (I tend to work solo on portrait shoots where the numbers are small).

I also work with two other assistants on the rare occasions that David is unavailable so there’s always two of us (unless you’d prefer just the one) to make sure we can be in two places at once allowing us to see so much of what’s going on.

On a wedding day we’d rather not ask you to smile for us or to do too many unnatural poses. All we’d ask is that you are you and we believe that this makes for the best photos. This naturally leads on to talking about our style.  What one person may describe as contemporary another may think is traditional. It really is a very subjective field, like any art, what some people like others detest and it really is down to personal taste. If we were to describe our images in three words we’d say:

natural, relaxed and evocative’

You may or may not agree with this – our advice to you would simply be to look at the photos in the galleries, read the other info on here and have a look at other photographers work and then decide for yourselves what you like and what works for you.

Thanks for taking the time out to have a look at the site and consider hiring us to take your photos. If you like what you see and think that it may just be what you’re looking for then please get in touch as we’d love to hear from you.
