Back to Sunny Suffolk for our next wedding and that was for Hannah and Russell’s day which we photographed at St Mary’s Church in Woodbridge followed by their marquee reception at Decoy Farm in Melton. This was another day this year where terrible weather was predicted but we saw none of it, not even a spot of rain and instead gorgeous sun, some blue sky and heat! Really pleased that we had good weather as Marquee weddings are nearly always nicer if you can be outdoors.
Hannah and Russell are a chilled out couple who mainly just wanted their day captured as it happened. There were a few little hiccups on the day such as the car Hannah was supposed to arrive in breaking down but nothing that ruined it. As well as photos at the church and reception we also took a handful of pics in the Market Square as Russell works (or owns I’m afraid I’ve forgetten which one it is!) at Woodbridge Violin shop and had parked their white porsche out the front.
Hannah looked amazing in her lace dress and she had 3 grown up bridesmaids and 5 little flowergirls who were all beautiful too. Russell looked very daper and so did his boys Toby and Sam who were ushers along with 4 other friends, a bestman and a ring bearer – wowzer this was a big but fun bridal party to organize!
Back at the reception they had chosen an unusual colour scheme and one we’ve certainly not seen before, the marquee was decorated in lime and neon green, with neon pinks and yellows! They also had these gorgeous little clip on birds as wedding favours that were really sweet.
The speeches for this wedding I must say were some of the best we’ve ever heard – Russell is crying with laughter in the photos (I promise) as were a lot of the guests when the bestman did his speech. Both David and I struggled a little to hold the cameras steady as we were giggling away … there are times when I wish that we did video too so I could have shared what was said and not just the reactions!
I could talk about different parts of this wedding all day as we thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the celebrations but think that most of you probably would just like to have a look at the photos so here’s a selection for you to peep at
