Back in the spring I did a quick little blog post on why we love a Spring Wedding and I feel that we should probably do the same for the other seasons too. So, why choose a summer wedding … I think the most obvious answer for most people here would be that the weather is likely to be warmer (even if we do still get the odd rain shower), the days are longer and the evenings are often balmy where you and your guests can still mingle outside and enjoy your venue way into the night!
If you’re hoping to have an outdoor ceremony then summer is your best bet for this in terms of the weather and the likelihood of it not being rained off.
Brides and bridesmaids don’t have to think about what to wear if it’s cold and have their choice of outfits. The same can be said for the flowers with so many to choose from that are readily available at this time of year.
The grounds and gardens of venues usually are looking really good at this time of year.
The sun being out more (and it being warmer) just means that the drinks, canapes and garden games you may be planning for your day are more likely to happen.
