Our next wedding was in September and it was Victoria and Lee’s day which took place at Shenley Cricket Club just outside of London. Most of our weddings are a bit closer to home than this one but, where we’ve been with friends and family for a while we’re very happy to travel. We’d previously photographed Victoria’s sister’s wedding and her dad’s wedding so we knew a lot of the family and couldn’t wait to see everyone again. Just like their weddings, this was an absolutely gorgeous day to be a part of and to capture.
We love it when our couples have already seen how we work at weddings and when they let us use our judgement as to what will look fabulous in photos. It allows us to truly capture the day as it happens and get the best photos possible for them reflecting what a wonderful day they’ve had.
There is so much that was special about this day. We especially loved the finishing touches of all the places they have travelled to being the table names and decorations through to. These two are certainly a well-travelled couple and it is clear that they adore each other. The bridesmaid’s dresses were also the most flattering dark pink (which is a colour we don’t see often but I wish we saw more).
The weather was stonkingly hot and sunny for this day which was good news when planning an outdoor ceremony and it was beautiful outside of the cricket pavilion. We were also incredibly lucky that due to the later harvest this year there was a wonderful field full of a beautiful crop that we got to use for photos.
Victoria wore a stunning fitted dress and looked so very beautiful whilst Lee looked fantastic in his suit too.
We really loved sharing in this family celebration and we really hope our paths will continue to cross with this gorgeous family again in the future.
Here’s a small peep at their day x
