The Wedding of Lizzy&Matt@Dan’s Meadow by Suffolk Wedding Photographers Hayley Denston Photography

At the end of July I was so excited to photograph Lizzy and Matt’s stonkingly good Tipi Festival feel wedding. This was one that I captured on my own as it was only a small ceremony (17 in total) and I started with Lizzy and Matt arriving. Lizzy had warned me that she might arrive before Matt and she actually did! Their whole day took place at Dan’s Meadow which is a new venue for me (in Martlesham) and I loved their outdoor ceremony. After their ceremony I then did their formal photos and their couple shots before the rest of the guests were going to be arriving for the Tipi reception.

I loved wandering with this couple for their photos and in the distance I could see a sunflower field (which given their theme was sunflowers) which would have been the icing on the cake to use. I asked Andrew (at Dan’s Meadow) if he owned the field and sadly he didn’t BUT …. he knew the farmer who did and gave Louise a call (at Beacon Hill Farm and Shop) who kindly said she’d be happy to let us use the field for some photos …. this made my day and topped their photos off so nicely! I love it when unexpected things like this happen.

Lizzy’s dress was gorgeous and I adored her sparkly gold pumps and Matt looked handsome in his suit. Their friend Camille did the flowers (many of which were from her garden)

Lots more guests then joined for their reception and we then had speeches outside before Paella for dinner (supplied by Prestige Bars). Lizzy and Matt had kindly said I could have some of the Paella before I left and I can assure you it was very scrumptious and greatly appreciated.

These two are a delightful couple and it was a pleasure spending some time with them. I really hope they’ll stay in touch with their future news and that our paths may cross again at some point.
