We usually are at Wherstead Park a couple of times a year for the Suffolk Wedding Show but in the middle of September, we had a real treat and finally got to photograph a wedding at this magnificent venue. Katy and Ben’s day had been a long time coming (another Covid postponed day) and it was wonderful when it finally arrived. Their whole day happened at Wherstead Park with their ceremony at the top of the very grand staircase. They also had the most incredible trees at the top of the stairs provided by Miranda at Extravorganza.
Katy got ready in one of the large rooms there and Ben arrived in a Masarati which one of his bestmen had organised for him as a special surprise. These two are such a sweet couple and so well suited. It is clear for anyone to see that not only do they adore each other but also that they are adored by all their friends and family.
Katy looked so very beautiful in her gorgeous dress and Ben was dashing in his grey suit. The yellow sunflowers really set off the bright blue bridesmaid’s dresses perfectly and it was lovely that we had a gorgeous sunny, warm day to celebrate. During their afternoon reception, they had a Caribbean steel drum band that were awesome and in the evening they had a brilliant disco in the Atrium. I don’t think we’ve ever seen so many guests get involved in a ‘cha-cha slide’ dance!
I could talk about this day for ages with the small pin badges as favours (that were to raise money for the Dog’s Trust) through to Katy’s exquisite and unusual shoes (see the photos for these) but instead of me wittering on here are some photos for you to take a peep at.
We wish Katy and Ben a lifetime of happiness ahead of them and we really hope that our paths will cross again in the future x
