Our next wedding to share with you is Beth and James’ day at Hintlesham Golf Club. This day came at the same time as Storm Babet and we were a little worried if we’d even be able to get to this wedding as all roads around us were flooded and impassable (apart from one which involved us travelling an extra hour and a half) but, we made it and just allowed tonnes more time to travel!
So, we may not have had the weather we were hoping for with this day but, it didn’t dampen anyone’s enthusiasm and Beth was so relaxed about it just lifting up her dress to avoid puddles so we could still use the lovely grounds and get photos outside.
There were so many special finishing touches I loved about this day but, one that stood out was Beth being given her baby bonnet that she’d worn at her christening and that with a few snips of the scissors Beth’s mum expertly converted it into a handkerchief for her day – I’ve never seen this before and it was just so different, sentimental and with a note from her late grandmother with it a wonderful, unique detail. James’ dad sadly passed shortly before their day and although he wasn’t with us in person it was sweet that they had his photo propped up in prominent places throughout the day.
I started with Beth getting ready at home whilst David started with the boys arriving at Hintlesham Golf Club. The ceremony was indoors and very happy followed by groups outside and despite all the rain they have a little area of artificial turf and a fab wall so we could still take group photos outside without getting anyone too soggy.
Beth looked every bit a Disney princess in her dress (she’s a big Disney fan) and James’ was obviously her dashing prince. These two are such a sweet, relaxed couple that no amount of rainy weather could spoil their day.
In the evening they had Gareth at Flame Entertainments doing the DJing (he’s always brilliant and a lovely, happy chap) and Keely (a lovely, bubbly, smiley lady) from Red and Black Fun Casino’s doing the roulette wheel. These two are definitely on our list of fav suppliers in case any of you reading this are looking for some awesome suppliers for your day.
Anyway, I should stop rambling and show you some photos so here’s a little look at their day:
