As we’ve not been photographing weddings for a while it’s tricky to put new content on here at the moment as most of our recent work has obviously been personal photos (I love a photo of our two dogs but I do recognise it may bore everyone else!) so I thought I’d re-run some wedding idea posts that we did a few years ago as I know they were very popular at the time and have since got lost in the blog to make way for newer content.
We often get asked if weddings are all pretty much the same and I can honestly say that after photographing 450+ weddings now they all have something unique about them.
So to start this series off again, today I thought I’d concentrate on flowers and specifically bridal bouquets (next week I’ll do the buttonholes for you). I’ve tried to put photos on that show the range that we see so hopefully those of you still looking for ideas will find something that sparks your interest. We’re very lucky to work with some very talented florists (and we recommend a few of our favourites who you can find in our little black book here) as well as some very talented brides who make their own bouquets. We also get to see lots of lovely things tied in bouquets from rings of loved ones passed to handkerchiefs, brooches and even the odd sixpence!
Enjoy looking at all the lovely flowers from the last few years and I hope they inspire you
