We’re slowly catching up on the blog now and only a couple of months behind writing up our weddings! So, our next wedding goes back to the warmth of the summer in the middle of August and this one is Meg and Joe’s day which took place at The Tudor Barn, Belstead. Their whole day happened here and we worked alongside one of our favourite videographers Steve Hood (it’s always nice when we work alongside someone whose style and approach is similar to ours).
This day had lots of personal and special finishing touches. As Joe is a chef he’d prepared the food for their wedding day and done the cake! There were some of the sweetest little flowergirls and an unusual colour scheme with each of the bridesmaids in a different colour skirt and white top. The skirts were made by the grooms mum! Instead of a sweet table we had a sweet chest of drawers which was a nice new take on this and I think worked really well. In the evening they had no band or disco so I wasn’t entirely sure whether people would get up and dance but once the music had started and they’d had their first dance everyone was on the dancefloor – who wouldn’t be though when you have epic songs like ‘Mr Brightside!’
Meg and Joe take everything in their stride and are such a relaxed, chilled out couple. They let their day flow naturally and this kept all their guests nice and relaxed which meant that although it was a wedding it had much more the feel of a get together with family and friends for a catch up which we really enjoyed.
Meg looked beautiful in her dress and it’s the first time I’ve seen a veil as a cape that goes over the top of the dress which worked so well and doesn’t interfere with hair at all! Joe looked the part too as her handsome husband in his suit. These two are meant to be together and we believe they’ll have many happy years ahead of them.
Here’s a small peep at their day
