Towards the end of April we photographed Justine and Allan’s Wedding at Haughley Park Barn. This was a beautiful day to capture and the very sunny day was just the icing on the cake. Justine and Allan had hoped that the bluebell woods may be in flower for their couple photos but in the almost 15 years we’ve been doing this I’ve only ever once seen them flower this weekend (it’s usually the two weekends after), turns out luck was on our side though and the spell of warm weather in the middle of April brought them all out a little early which was a real treat.
Their entire day happened at Haughley and was just beautiful. I love the different pastel colour bridesmaids dresses Justine had chosen and all the lovely finishing touches. The cake was made by Hannah over at Bakelicious Boutique who is one very talented lady. As always, Hannah made a stunning cake (not only do Hannah’s cakes always look incredible but they taste divine too!). Some of the room decorations (including the beautiful paper lanterns) came from Ian and Michelle over at Suffolk Marquees who also did a beautiful job.
One little story for you, when we went up to the Bluebell woods in the evening all the sheep were in the Parkland and most of them had got their fluffy baby lambs with them. As we went across the cattle grid into the woods a mummy sheep came running up with her lamb bleeting furiously at me. Being a lover of all animals I went over to investigate and her second baby lamb had got trapped underneath the Cattle grid. With a little bit of manoeuvring I managed to reach through and gentle ease the lamb out and give her back to mum. They quickly all went off together and the little lamb immediately fed … always nice to do something good even if I did smell of sheep for the rest of the time at the bluebells (sorry Justine and Allan).
Justine looked beautiful in her fitted dress and Allan looked handsome in his navy suit. These two make the most sweet, adorable couple! We are certain that they will have a very long and happy marriage ahead of them.
So many things to love about this day but I’d rather the photos do some of the talking so here’s just a small peep at their day
