Still in all the sweltering heat, our next wedding was Jamie and Liam’s day that took place at The Wilderness Reserve at Sibton Park in Suffolk. The sun shone all day and it was a relief to find that the conservatory where the wedding breakfast was taking place had air conditioning! The flowers were absolutely beautiful and were done by the very talented Kaye (at Kaye Souter Flowers). Their boys were pageboys and looked like mini versions of Liam which was really sweet. As with lots of weddings with children we may have had to use a slight bribe to get their youngest to stand in group shots but at least he was in them …. who wouldn’t smile for Marshmallows!
I started with the girls getting ready in the dollhouse room whilst David started with the boys getting ready at the other end of the hall. It’s lovely when everything happens in the same place so you can cover everything without any speedy dashes between locations! Their ceremony took place outside with the parkland as a backdrop which was so very unusual and relaxing. We did get bombed with wasps at this wedding and a few people got stung as the wasps must have been in their hundreds/thousands and a little cranky, on the positive side though it certainly didn’t stop everyone enjoying themselves though. The speeches for this wedding were touching and very funny, it’s always nice when the bestmen use props and have people giggling without completely embarrassing the groom!
Jamie looked beautiful in her fitted dress and Jamie looked equally handsome in his suit. These two are so well matched and the perfect little family with their boys, we’re sure they’ll have many happy years ahead of them.
Lastly a quick thanks to one of Jamie’s bridesmaids for recommending us to them, this is the first time I think that we know of where someone recommends us who wishes they’d booked us for their day which is really touching and greatly appreciated.
Here’s a very small peep at their gorgeous day
