In the middle of May we photographed the lovely Emily and Stuart’s Wedding which took place in Hollesley. This was always going to be a relaxed, special and unique day with them choosing the local church followed by a marquee reception in Emily’s mums’ garden. From the moment I’d met with Emily and Stuart and talked through their day and plans with them we knew this was a day we wanted to be a part of. They wanted their day captured mainly as it was with only a handful of formals to cover the essentials which fits in perfectly with how we like to capture days.
All the finishing touches to this day were wonderful and I love the yellow and light blue colour scheme which fitted in perfectly with the surroundings. I started with Emily, her bridesmaids and flowergirls, pageboys and her family getting ready at her mum’s house. Sadly Emily’s dad is no longer with us so Emily put her dad’s ring on her shoes so he could be a part of her day, her brother gave her away and her mum gave a mother-of-the-bride speech. Such special moments and a great show of how loving and close this family are. Whilst I was with the girls David started with Stuart and the boys having lunch at the local Ramsholt Arms (we are lucky to have such gorgeous locations on our doorstep in Suffolk) before heading on to church. The weather was good for us and although a little nippy (hence the heaters on in the church) it was still warm enough for the guests to enjoy an outdoor reception and even the lizards in Emily’s mums’ garden were basking in the sun.
Emily’s dress was so very beautiful and she looked stunning in it. In her hair she wore her mum’s hairpiece that she had at her wedding. Stuart looked dashing in his suit and both of them were very relaxed, happy and chilled out throughout the day.
I could talk about this day for a very long while but I know you’re all anticipating the photos so here’s a selection from their day. We’re certain Emily and Stuart will have a happy marriage ahead of them and we wish them all the love in the world for their future adventures together.
