Our last October wedding to share with you all is Karen and Dave’s day which took place at The Old Hall in Ely. This was one of those weddings I always knew that we would love as it came about through recommendation as we’d photographed Dave’s daughter’s wedding the previous year. These two are a lovely relaxed couple and this was always going to be our kind of day.
The weather forecast was not good (rain predicted all day) but Karen has always wanted to have an outdoor ceremony so at the last minute the decision was taken that they could have the outdoor ceremony and that we’d take the risk with the weather. It paid off as we didn’t get wet and they had the ceremony they’d always wanted. We were actually incredibly lucky with the weather with just a couple of short, sharp showers throughout the afternoon and some dramatic, dark skies!
So many gorgeous finishing details for this day from Karen doing her own flowers and the lanterns for the tables, to family members making the cake.
Karen wore a beautiful fitted dress and Dave a very smart blue, checked suit … they both looked gorgeous and so very happy! We are certain that these two will have a very happy future ahead of them supported by lots of lovely friends and family. We really hope our paths will continue to cross with this family in the future.
Here’s a very small peep at their day
