As promised this week here is Lisa and Chris’ testimonial from their wedding. I posted about their wedding day last week which I photographed at the beginning of October at the stunning Hintlesham Hall (for those of you who missed that post you can read it here and look at their lovely photos).
I couldn’t have asked for nicer people to photograph and their comments made me cry (I’m not usually one for tears but this year has been a tough one and it does make you question if you still have a future ahead of you in weddings). Comments like this mean so much right now and I’m grateful that they took the time to put it into writing:
‘Hi Hayley,
We had a first look through the photos last night when Chris got home from work and oh my goodness, they are wonderful!!!! We can’t wait to print some out to put up around the house 🙂
As you could probably tell, I (Lisa) can be very self critical and I was worried about having our photos taken. I obviously never ever doubted your ability at all – it’s more just that we are not very comfortable in front of a camera. We’ve had people buy us photo sessions in the past as gifts and we’ve never gone through with them!
But Hayley, you have done a fantastic job and we honestly couldn’t be happier!! Thank you so so much! When we were looking through the photos last night, there were moments caught on camera where we didn’t even know you were there or that you were snapping away and that is truly amazing. We are so glad and feel very lucky that we found you and had you there to capture our special day.
We love that there are posed photos but also the natural ones where you can just see pure genuine joy and happiness in people’s faces.
On a personal note, I would also like to thank you for staying with me in the room when I didn’t want to be left alone. I was probably waffling on and chatting nonsense but I think it was having people around me, like yourself, in those final moments, that kept me calm!
If there are ever any moments in life where we would like some photos captured in future, we will definitely be in touch and we will of course highly recommend you to everyone we know.
I would also like to say that all of our parents were extremely complimentary about you and said how lovely you were. They said it was such a shame that due to the restrictions, they weren’t able to see your face.
As our Wedding was so small, we feel we have had a connection with all of the people involved in our special day.
