Well, this feels like it has been a long time coming getting back to weddings again but, now we’re in full swing we couldn’t be happy, and what better way to start off our year than with Jazelle and James’ day who are one of the sweetest couples ever.
Jazelle got ready at home (where I joined her) and James got ready at his parents’ house (where David joined him) before the rest of their day happened at the lovely Fynn Valley Terrace at the end of July.
There were so many highlights from this day that I really struggled to get a selection on here down from my favourite 200! The ceremony was emotional and after the adversity that Jazelle and James have faced (I’m not just talking about the Covid restrictions here but it’s personal to them so I’m not going to go into detail) in the past few years, it felt wonderful to capture this new happier chapter for them. There were many moments in the ceremony when “Hayfever” (as Lisa the fabulous Registrar put it) got the better for all of us and I’m not sure there was a dry eye in the venue!
After the ceremony we came out to glorious sunshine and spent time on the terrace for their drinks and canapes reception mingling, doing a handful (or so) of group photos and some of their couple photos as we’d been given a specific time from the golf course when we could go up in the golf buggies to the first tee for a few photos.
Jazelle looked absolutely stunning in her fitted dress and her headpiece was unusual and beautiful and set the whole ensemble off perfectly. James was every bit as dashing in his grey suit and check waistcoat.
When we chatted before their day I was a little disappointed that their little Nala dog wouldn’t be joining us (everyone knows I love dogs at weddings) but I thought I’d get some of her during the getting ready …. on the day though she was bought along by their dog sitter for a short while so she could appear in just a few photos with them which was wonderful.
Speeches (as expected after the ceremony emotions) were a little bit teary and a lot of guests from further afield sadly couldn’t be with us due to the continued travel restrictions but, there was also fun and a lot of love in them too.
Being a gorgeous summers’ day we also had some lovely evening light to have a little wander for a handful more couple photos before their dancing and being wrapped in toilet roll by the groom’s parents and brides mum.
All in all, it was a smashing day. It’s very clear to see that this couple are adored by their friends and family and on spending some time with them it’s very easy to see why. We’re certain these two have a lot of happy times ahead of them. We love them and their photos.
Here’s a very small peep at their day x
