This year I am going back to doing some blog posts with last years couples on their favourite photos and why. I always love doing these kinds of posts and as we only photographed two weddings in 2020 it’s been a little while since I’ve done them. If any of my 2020 or 2021 couples want to join in please let me know as I’d love to do one of these posts for you
I’m going to start off the series with Jazelle and James’ wonderful wedding that took place last year at Fynn Valley Terrace. There’s was a gorgeous day to be a part of and I wish we could do it all over again.
Jazelle and James are such a lovely, sweet couple and they replied so quickly with a really beautiful email which I really appreciate.
Here’s a handful of their favourites together with their reasons why (reasons first with the relevant photo below):
‘James’ favourite photo is of us with our dog Nala. He says it’s because Nala looks so cute, but I love it because it’s our tiny little family. Nala wasn’t planned to be there, so her presence was a big surprise to both of us and it shows in our faces because those are all genuine smiles…even Nala’s. ‘
‘James and his best men and ushers lifting him up like Marilyn Monroe is another favourite. It got a lot of laughs and you managed to capture all of the boys grinning in that photo. ‘
‘My favourite photo is the first dance kiss. You captured such a intimate moment at the perfect time when the light is shining between us. It also shows us wrapped in paper, which is a Dutch wedding tradition to bond us together.’
‘My other favourite is my tearful hug with my sister after her emotional Maid of Honour speech. You managed to capture this precious moment from both sides, with both of us crying, but I know Krystle would kill me if I uploaded her to a blog! ‘
We love all the ones that they’ve chosen and it was incredibly hard for us to choose our favourites from this day especially as we knew the journey these two have been on to get where they are.
So we chose the one below because of the closeness and happiness of them both after saying ‘I do’ and finally being married. We love that it’s like no one is watching them and it’s just them in this magical moment
I then had to choose one with their dog (as we both love dogs at weddings) and Nala is such a little sweetie who clearly loves being with the two of them and was so happy to see them
This last one we love just because it was a little time out for them in the evening and the light was beautiful and it was lovely and relaxed
