Next up in our super-duper busy line up for August was Emily and Christian’s wedding at Haughley Park Barn. This was another one of those days that we had been looking forward to for a very long time and after hearing all about their plans for their day when we met for a pre-wedding shoot last year at Nowton Park I was even more excited. What a gorgeous couple and what a wonderful day. Haughley Park is always a beautiful venue at all times of year and it certainly didn’t disappoint with plenty for us to photograph in the gardens and in the parkland.
Emily got ready at her parents house in a nearby village whilst David started with Christian and the boys at the Farmhouse at Haughley. Before and during their ceremony we had heavy rain and the first half an hour of their reception was rainy so we stayed indoors but again, the weather cleared and the rest of the day was brilliant.
We got to work again with Steve Hood who is a fabulous videographer that we recommend and we’re very much looking forward to seeing his film of the day. The catering was provided by Jamie Lee Catering and we were kindly provided a meal by Emily and Christian as their speeches were between courses and it allowed us to keep time with them. We can report that the food tasted as good as it looked!
The evening light for this day was just gorgeous and we loved being able to take them for a wander in this beautiful light. There were so many lovely finishing touches to this day from the glowing paper lanterns in the barn to the macaroon tower. It was all stunning and add to that one radiantly beautiful bride and a handsome groom who adore each other and what more could you want from a wedding day!
We are confident that these two will have a long and happy marriage ahead of them and we really hope that our paths will cross again in the future.
Here’s a small peek at their day (if you love the look of this venue for your own day why not pop along to Haughley Park Barn’s Open day on the 8th October – we’ll be there and I’ll post further details nearer to the time)
