Wow, another year has flown by and today is Ansel’s official 4th Birthday, we’ll never be 100% sure what date you were born but, this is the date in your pet passport so it’s the one we celebrate with you.

When we rescued this little fella (from a fantastic rescue called Noah’s Ark where we adopted both our boys from) almost 3 years ago at just over a year old he was very nervous about everyone and everything but, all he really needed was time to know that he is safe and loved and that we would go at his pace with him. We can’t imagine not having rescue dogs and we feel like the lucky ones to have such wonderful dogs as Ansel and Ernie in our lives.

Over the years, Ansel has really come out of his shell and overcome a lot of his fears. There are some things in his life that he still is very scared of but, we can work with him and manage his exposure to those things, he’s definitely worth it as he’s one of a kind and so loving and affectionate with us and Ernie.

Here’s a small peep at his life over the last year …. lots of naps, snuggles and walks ….. his favourite outdoor place being frequent trips to the seaside x
