Our last April wedding to share with you was Nikki and James’ day that took place at Boyton Church and Woodhall Manor. This was a glorious day, bright and sunny even though it was a tad windy and cool. I started with Nikki getting ready at Woodhall and David started with James and the boys at the local pub. Nikki arrived at the church with her dad in her dad’s kit car which was very special. Their ceremony was then at the beautiful Boyton church and we were lucky enough to have some gorgeous bluebells out in the churchyard for some photos.
Nikki and James wanted their day to be as relaxed and informal as possible and to reflect the East Anglian countryside and atmosphere. On arrival back at Woodhall Manor afternoon tea was awaiting the guests which looked scrumptious. As there is a slightly sheltered area round the back of Woodhall many guests enjoyed their afternoon tea outside but for those not wanting to venture out in the cold there were lots of indoor games and rooms to choose from. We then went over to the other building for their wedding breakfast which was an East Anglian feast (lots of goodies from East Anglia including a fish and chip supper and ice cream). They did their cake cutting before the meal (lots of homemade cakes) and then speeches also beforehand and even Nikki stood up and said a few words!
Nikki had one of the most different wedding dresses I’ve ever seen, it was a two piece dress (so top and skirt) and it fitted her perfectly. James wore a smart blue suit and we again saw grape hyacinths as buttonholes which I loved!
Nikki and James are a couple who don’t post a lot online and so I am honoured that they’ve allowed me to share these few photos with you … enjoy
