On a lovely autumnal day we had the absolute treat of photographing the gorgeous Nicola and Will at their wedding day at Yaxley Hall. We’d been looking forward to this day for some time as our lives have been intertwined with this family and extended family for a little while now. Sue Reeve who is Nicola’s step mum (who used to be a registrar at Stowmarket and was involved in David and my wedding) conducting the ceremony which was really lovely, Sue’s brilliant and I wish she still conducting ceremonies for Stowmarket. It was also one of the last ceremonies that Yaxley Hall will ever have in their music room which is sad as it’s such a stunning venue. We also got to see lots of familiar faces as we’d photographed Jenny (Nicola’s step sister) and Chris’ wedding a couple of years ago so it was great to catch up.
We’d been watching the weather for some time with this one as we really wanted to be outside and enjoy the grounds that Yaxley Hall has to offer, thankfully it only started to rain when they went in for their meal and we left them at this part of the day so we could be outside for the afternoon drinks and canapes.
Nicola and Will have four gorgeous children between them and a boxer dog called Archie (who joined us for some of the reception). I thought it may be ambitious to get four young children and a dog to sit still for photos but to my delight (and surprise) they all did fantastically well.
Nicola looked beautiful and Will very handsome, they make such a sweet couple and were a pleasure to photograph. We love their photos and are glad to hear that they do too. Here’s some for you to have a peep at if you’d like
