To start our August weddings off we have the wonderful Lizzie and Tony’s day to share with you which took place at Woodhall Manor. With August weddings we always hope for lovely sunny days and especially for this one where Lizzie and Tony were hoping for an outdoor ceremony but sadly it wasn’t to be. We were met with grey skies and drizzle for most of the day so the ceremony had to be indoors but no ones spirits seemed dampened. I do think we are incredibly lucky though as just after their ceremony there was a window of time where it was dry and we could do photographs outside with guests mingling in the garden before darting back in again when the showers started.
This was an intimate day with around 40 guests and a beautiful day to be a part of. The two of them just look so happy and contented in each others company and they quite clearly have a lot of friends and family who think the world of them. As this wedding was all in one place David started with the boys getting ready whilst I started with the girls and then we were at Woodhall in their various different rooms and gardens for the rest of their day. The theme for this day was multicoloured which looks great at anytime of year but especially helps to make the photos gorgeous and vibrant on a grey day. Tony had bought Lizzie the most beautiful blue glass heart necklace as a wedding present which was a lovely and unusual ‘something blue’ to see. What a relaxed day and we really hope that the photos will allow you all to relive lots of happy memories from this day for many years to come.
Here’s a small selection to have a peep at (including another very unusual cake and so much confetti that it got everywhere including in Tony’s mums hair!)
