Our last wedding of this year was Kayley and Oliver’s day which took place in November at Haughley Park Barn. This was a gorgeous wedding to end our year on and we knew from the moment we met Kayley and Oliver at a Haughley Park Barn Open Day earlier in the year that we would love being a part of their day.
With our late autumn and winter weddings (after the clocks have gone back) I personally like to have a little time after the ceremony where we can still get outside if the weather is good to us. In the case of Haughley Park Barn I especially enjoy any outdoor time as the gardens are stunning throughout the year and they certainly didn’t disappoint for this wedding with lots of autumnal colour. We were a little unlucky with the weather as it rained through most of the reception time (so we did the formal groups indoors) but we did get two small breaks in the weather. One was straight after the ceremony so we could do a large group shot and some confetti and then the next break was later in the afternoon just before sunset so I could take the two of them for a wander. I am incredibly grateful to Kayley and Oliver for still allowing me to take them round the gardens despite the sogginess underfoot and being game for any of my suggestions. I just love all the photos of the two of you, so much so that it was really hard to choose which ones to pop on here.
This day was special in so many ways, it was lovely that Kayley and Oliver’s son Oscar got to be a part of their day. The fish and chip dinner was inspired (and scrummy I may add) and the wooden cutlery on the tables was so cute. Pudding was an ice cream cart which set up in the main hall and proved very popular. Then in the evening we even had tubs of popcorn! Kayley and Oliver (although I suspect perhaps more Kayley!) had put so much time and effort into all the details that the barn looked incredible and nothing had been overlooked. I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many different hearts displayed in one day!
Kayley looked beautiful and very Grecian in her floaty dress and her headdress was very dreamy whilst Oliver looked dashing in his navy suit.
We’re delighted that the two of you love your images as much as we do and we hope you don’t mind us sharing your comments from your thank you card before you’d even seen your images:
‘Dear Hayley and David,
We would just like to say a massive THANK YOU for all your help on our big day. You went above and beyond to help things run smoothly. We cannot thank you enough. All our guests have mentioned how lovely you both were. We cannot wait to see all the photos, we know they are going to be beautiful!
With lots of Love
Kayley and Olly xx’
We are certain that Kayley and Oliver have many happy times ahead of them and we really hope that our paths will cross again in the future. Here’s a small selection from their day for you all to have a peep at
