This next wedding was such a special one for us as it happened in their back garden. I think lots of couples would love to get married at home (but the current laws prevent this from happening) but Karen and David found a way to do this. Basically they did the legal ceremony a few days earlier at Stowmarket Registry Office (with witnesses) to get the legal part done and dusted. They then had the registrars come out to a marquee (supplied by the fabulous Anglian Coastal Marquees)in their back garden and do the whole ceremony again so it was every bit like the real thing apart from the signing of the register where they signed a special certificate instead!
Having everything at their home just made it so unique and special to the two of them and we absolutely loved being a part of their day. Even their very elderly cat got to appear in some photos! Yes it did rain (which wasn’t ideal for a marquee wedding) but everyone was in good spirits and braved the rain for some photos.
Karen and David are two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet and they instantly make you feel welcome and at ease which is lovely. It’s clear to see that they are both adored by all their friends and family and we’re certain that they’ll have a long and happy marriage ahead of them. We really hope that our paths will cross again with these two in the future.
Karen wore a beautiful fitted dress and looked stunning (having two ceremonies meant to different dresses which just has to be a huge plus!) and David scrubbed up well and looked handsome in his suit.
Here’s just a very small peep at their day
