Our next wedding was another glorious day in June. This time it was Jo and Ben’s Wedding which we photographed back at Ben’s mum’s farm in Bressingham,Norfolk. This was a glorious day with so many beautiful finishing touches. We were blessed with a stunning day and the weather was perfect as they had planned a relaxed garden party/afternoon tea on the lawns followed by a chilled out evening and an ice-cream van. It is always a treat when you get just the weather you’d be praying for on a day like this so that what they’d be hoping for and dreaming of could happen.
This was a large wedding with a lot of happy, smiley friends and family who were very welcoming to us. We thoroughly enjoyed being a part of this day and adore the photos. We were pleased that Jo and Ben’s spaniel, Spot not only got an appearance on the cake that Jo’s auntie had made (which was incredible and I can vouch for the fact that the rainbow sponge layer tasted delicious!) but also got to come out for some photos in the evening. Jo’s parents live in Kenya and had not only flown themselves in for the wedding but all the beautiful flowers which Ben’s mum arranged. Vintage landrovers featured in the day and took the bride and groom from Bressingham Church back to their reception. Tonnes and Tonnes of bunting they’d all made adorned the canvas (big top style) marquee.
The ceremony was beautiful although I am always slightly surprised when the vicar doesn’t say you may kiss the bride as I love that photo. Still I’d already pushed my luck to the full by convincing the vicar to let me stand near the front during the ceremony (which I truly appreciate as the photos of Jo and Ben there are lovely).
Jo and Ben are a delightful, relaxed and happy couple who looked incredible on their day and didn’t stop beamingly smiling. If we could rewind time and photograph their day all over again we certainly would as we loved it so much. It was just one of those days where everything seems to go perfectly which was so well deserved after the huge amount of effort gone in! We wish nothing but a long and happy marriage for Jo and Ben and really hope that our paths will cross again in the future.
Here’s a very small selection of photographs from their day (just hit play or if you’re on a mobile device click the photo). As with a good few of the weddings we’ve photographed recently I’m sure that a lot of their photos will be making an appearance on the main website in the future
