The next wedding we had the joy of photographing was Jenny and James’ day. They had their ceremony at the stunningly beautiful Levington Church (which overlooks the river estuary) followed by their wedding reception at Hungarian Hall (link to their website here). I started with Jenny getting ready at her parents house in Levington. I knew that Jenny had planned all along to walk to the church so we really had our fingers crossed for good weather and fortunately we got it so this was possible and Jenny’s school children came out to greet her on the way. David started with the boys getting ready for this one at Jenny and James’ home.
This day had lots of thought and attention to detail from the vintage crockery that Jenny’s parents had been collecting for her ever since they knew she wanted this on her day to the heart sponge inside their wedding cake. She also had heart bouquets which were made by the very talented Judy at Tiger Lilly Flowers and this is the first time we’ve ever seen bouquets like this.
We got to work with the brilliant Steve and Ben from Sudbury Wedding Videos again and here’s a link to their trailer from this wedding which is fab
Jenny loves anything pink so this played a major part in the theming from the knitted bunting to her unusual pink bridal shoes! Her dress was handmade and even finished with a pale pink sash to match her bridesmaids. James’ also had pale pink with his grey suit and looked dashing whilst Jenny was every bit the stunning bride.
One of the highlights of this day for me was when Sumi (their family dog) bought the wedding rings down the aisle for the ceremony – I wish our dog was this well behaved!
Here’s a good selection of photos from their day (to view more just click on the link after the first photo) with plenty of ideas for those of you planning a wedding to think about
