On a beautiful May day we photographed the wonderful Jenny and James at their small and intimate wedding at Hintlesham Hall. This was a gorgoeus day with lovely people and a pleasure to be a part of. Jenny and James are a very sweet, kind and affectionate couple who are quite clearly adored by their friends and family and it’s easy to see why.
Jenny looked stunning in her beautiful dress whilst James was every bit as handsome suited and booted.
The day started with James and his bestman arriving in a Porsche which David captured whilst I was with Jenny and her children (and grandson) getting ready in the bridal suite. Then it was their ceremony in the Parlour (a room that’s not used quite so often at Hintlesham but is none the less as exquisite as their main room) where Jenny walked in with her son and daughter. This was followed by confetti and drinks on the lawn before coming in for their wedding breakfast.
Their wedding breakfast had the tables all named after significant places to the two of them and each of the guests favours was chocolate in the design of the place (so for instance Edinburgh had Castle chocolates whilst Thailand had Elephants and Newmarket had horses etc) which was something we hadn’t seen before and they looked delicious. Being partial to a bit of chocolate myself (especially at Easter – what’s not to love with all those chocolate Easter Eggs and Bunnies!) I had to show the greatest restraint in not eating any of them which was the biggest challenge of the day!
One of the highlights from this day had to be the fireworks in the evening which were a booming and bright end to their day.
We loved photographing this day so much and only wish we could have it all over again. We really hope that Jenny and James will stay in touch in the future and that our paths will cross again. Jenny has kindly e-mailed me since their day to say how happy they are with the photos and I will share these comments in a future post (as I realise I’ve written quite a lot for this one). So, what you’ve all been waiting for is a glimpse of their day …..
