Our next beautiful May wedding was Kerry and Paul’s day which took place at the stunning Hengrave Hall. What a sunny day this one was with a lot of laughter and smiling. This is just the kind of day I’d been wishing for for them as when the weather’s good at Hengrave all the guests (as well as our couple) can enjoy all the stunning grounds Hengrave has to offer.
One of the delights of working at this venue is that there’s both a boys room and a girls room for getting ready so both David and I can start at the same place. It’s also lovely that the ceremony room turns round for the evening whilst the wedding breakfast is in a completely separate room. There’s even a childrens playroom to keep the little ones amused!
I started with Kerry and her bridesmaids getting ready and I would like to give a little shout out to their fabulous make-up lady Boe (who also did some hair touch ups) who was from Botias Hair and Make Up, she was fab and I hope we’ll get to work with her again in the future. The bridesmaids all wore gorgeous dresses that were a lovely rich royal blue and the little flowergirl was in white and adorable. We also had a very sweet little pageboy who wore a sign into the wedding ceremony with his mum (one of the bridesmaids) that said ‘Here comes your Bride Uncle Paul’, just one of the lovely finishing touches for this day.
Kerry wore a beautiful Champagne colour dress and looked amazing whilst Paul was dashing and beamingly smiling all day.
In the evening we had our first ever Vodka Luge which no doubt by the end of the evening would have had a lot of their guests very tipsy as it was such good fun. We also saw the most unusual half white half milk chocolate cake (photo in the selection below) and even the strawberries had been decorated like they were in mini tuxedos! For the evening entertainment we got to see some of our favourite DJs from Dreamwave Events (Paul and Chris) who as well as the music also provided the stunning outdoor evening lighting!
This was another truly wonderful day that we’ve been privileged to have photographed. Here’s a small selection from their day
