As Suffolk Wedding photographers it’s always nice to be back in our own county at one of our favourite wedding venues to photograph a gorgeous wedding.
On a brilliant sunny day in August we had the pleasure of photographing the gorgeous Harriet and Adam on their wedding day. Harriet and Adam chose to get married at Horringer Church (one of the few churches we’ve encountered where there is a strict no photos rule supposedly to preserve the sanctity of marriage – I’m not sure I agree with this but sadly it’s not my decision) followed by their wedding reception at the beautiful Haughley Park Barn (www.haughleyparkbarn.co.uk)
What a wonderful day this was. Lotty the little flowergirl was adorable and very talkative for her age. When she was having her dress put on she didn’t want Harriet or the other bridesmaids to see her until the look was complete so they waited in the doorway covering their eyes. Lotty then comes out with ‘I’m watching you, I know Harriet’s a peeper!’ – what a fantastic saying and one which I intend to use as often as I can from now on.
Harriet had put so much time and effort into all the details that the barn looked incredible and Rachel at The English Rose Florists had done an amazing job with the flowers. Truly stunning (and that feels like an understatement)! Harriet and Adam’s day was another one which felt like I’d been looking forward to for such a long time but it didn’t disappoint in any way. Even when the Silver Cloud broke down at the church Harriet and Adam were so relaxed we just shuffled things around and did their group shots there instead whilst they waited for a replacement vehicle which worked beautifully. The food at the reception was provided by Crossways Farm Catering and as always Tina and her team did a fantastic job … it all looked yummy!
Back at Haughley Park Barn the kitchen garden was looking incredible with all the flowers out – I’ve never seen it look so vibrant before autumn! Harriet looked beautiful in her lace dress and Adam looked very handsome. An unusual colour choice for the flowers and bridesmaids but one that worked wonderfully and I hope to see again.
So many unforgettable memories from this day, I wish we could do it all over again. Thank you to all the guests for making us feel so welcome and allowing us to take so many gorgeous photos of your lovely faces! We adore these photos and will be putting many of them on the website in the future. Here’s an initial selection for you to have a peep at. I’ve decided for this blog post to try something new and to put the images on as individual photos rather than a slideshow. This does mean that those of you who are on a slower internet connetion or a mobile device may struggle to see them easily though. To help address this and to make the website a good place for everyone to visit I’ve only selected the first photo to load automaticallly and will continue to do this from now on in future blog posts. Fear not though as there will also be a link for you to access more photos if you want to. To see more photos from this day just click on the link after the photo in the post.
