Our next fantastic wedding was Gemma and James’ day. Their ceremony took place in Chedburgh church followed by their reception at the gorgeous Haughley Park Barn. I started with Gemma (and the girls) getting ready at her house whilst David started next door at James’ parents house with the boys before they headed down to the local pub followed by walking to the church.
The ceremony was lovely and as always we are grateful to the vicars who are kind to us and let me stand at the front whilst David was at the back. As James is a big cricketer they wanted to do an arch out of cricket bats for the confetti which was quirky and fun. Whilst the guests went on to the reception I went back to Gemma and James’ house with them as it was important we took some photos with a very special guest who couldn’t attend the wedding …. their cat Tinks, they even had a little bow tie ready for him which was really cute!
Back at Haughley the weather was kind to us (warm and sunny) so everyone could enjoy mingling outside on the lawns. After dinner we had the speeches and then I went for a little wander with Gemma and James around Haughley in the stunning evening light. I love these photos so much and am pleased you adore them as much as we do.
Gemma and James are one of those couples who beam together … when you look at them and how happy they are you just know that they’re going to have a long and happy marriage ahead of them.
This was a magical day to be a part of and we wish we could have your day all over again. Here’s a small selection of their images to have a peep at
