It’s always nicest when we get to work on recommendation and it’s equally lovely when we get to travel a little so this wedding was always going to be a good one from the very start. We photographed Anna and Dick at their wedding back at Yaxley Hall a good few years ago now and were delighted when they got in touch regarding us photographing their daughter Fiona’s wedding in Shropshire. As weddings go this was fairly quick in the planning (only a few months) but thankfully we were available on their date (must be fate). What a wonderful wedding it was, so many happy smiles and a relaxed and gorgeous day it was a treat to be a part of it all. Fiona’s grandmother Penny made the cake and all her sugarcraft skills were incredible. These days it’s quite rare that we see a traditional wedding cake so it was lovely to look at one so beautifully presented.
The weather for their day didn’t look good with the BBC weather even the night before showing bright green, thundery rain. Somehow though we managed to miss it all and saw gorgeous blue skies and sunshine, looking at their photos (other than the leaves turning on the trees) you wouldn’t have thought this was an October wedding. Fiona looked radiantly beautiful and Derek dashing in his suit. They wanted only a handful of photos of them on their own with the main emphasis being on capturing the atmosphere of the day. We are happy that you love the photos from your day and we can’t wait to start designing your photobooks with you. For those of you wishing to have a peep here’s a few photos from their day
