On a beautiful April day we photographed the gorgeous Ellie and Sam at their wedding at Haughley Park Barn. This was a day we’d been looking forward to for a very long time as it promised to be a very special and unusual day for us and it didn’t disappoint. This day had a mix of English and Indian traditions and a complete change of outfits for Ellie and Sam in the evening. They had an Indian Bollywood First Dance which was a first for us and traditions from both cultures. Ellie’s sister also made macaroons for the guests favours and I was lucky enough to try some of the ‘rejects’ in the morning when they were getting ready, I can confirm that they tasted delicious and looked so cute and tiny.
Ellie and Sam are an incredibly happy couple who are a pleasure to be around. We felt more like guests at this wedding than the photographers as we were made to feel so welcome.
The weather forecast for this day was not good (two spots of rain over Haughley all afternoon the night before the wedding) but on the day itself we only saw a little spatter of rain when they were eating their meal …. yippeee as it meant we could all enjoy being outside and the grounds that Haughley has to offer. The bluebells were a little behind in flowering this year but none the less we still took some time out to go up to the woods and take some photos which I love. In fact, we love all of their photos and it was really hard to narrow them down to just a small selection to put on here so I’m sure many of them will be making their way onto our main galleries later this year when I have a little bit more spare time.
This is another wedding for us that we wish we could have all over again as we enjoyed it so much and we really hope that our paths will cross again with Ellie, Sam and their friends and family in the future. What a joy to be a part of this day and for all of you wanting a peep here are some of their photos
