Our next April wedding was the lovely Christina and Ed’s day. Christina didn’t fancy having the getting ready part covered so both David and I started with Ed and his bestman at the Catholic Church (St Edmund the King and Martyr) in Bury St Edmunds. This church has recently been refurbished and was just stunning inside. Ed and Christina had decided they wanted to come into the ceremony together and so met outside the church beforehand which was a little different and great to capture the bride and groom seeing each other beforehand in a new way. After the church we were back to Haughley Park Barn (one of our favourite Wedding venues at all times of year) for their reception where we were treated to some gorgeous sunshine, big blue skies and canapes by Crossways Farm Caterers (Tina and her staff are fab and their food is delicious). Being a slightly nippy spring the bluebells weren’t quite out but the Magnolia’s were looking incredible!
Christina and Ed are such a relaxed couple their day was a complete pleasure to be a part of. Christina looked stunning and beamingly happy all day and Ed, equally handsome and smiley! Christina’s mum gave the first speech before their meal and then Ed and his bestman did theirs between the starters and the mains. Lovely speeches and a very funny bestman’s speech which is always great to photograph.
This was a truly wonderful day that I could talk about for hours with a gorgeous couple and brilliant friends and family. We wish Christina and Ed a lifetime of happiness ahead of them and hope that we’ll meet again.
Here’s a small selection to have a look at from their day
